Walter Nicholls, Technology Manager
Walter is Cornerstone's research and development leader; he is the first to evaluate and understand the relevance of emerging technologies, and he transfers this to the rest of the team.
From deconstructing his home computer in his teens, Walter Nicholls has graduated to become an internationally-acclaimed computing expert. He has contributed to various projects through his knowledge of XML, HTML/CSS, web services, Linux and low-level computer architecture.
Since joining Cornerstone Software Ltd in 1994, his knowledge of complex computing issues has been utilised to achieve exceptional results for clients. He currently specialises in Microsoft .NET technologies, the programming language C# and SQL-Server databases. His recent work in this area includes a desktop application used by hundreds of people at leading corporates and web applications based on the DotNetNuke® framework.
A Visual FoxPro expert for over a decade, he worked as a programmer with Microsoft in 2004 on the development of Visual FoxPro 9.0. Walter has published articles for FoxTalk, an international FoxPro Developers magazine.
Walter graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Auckland in 1991.
