David Marks, Managing Director
David Marks has worked in the Information Technology industry for 20 years, starting as a trainee analyst-programmer in Edinburgh, before joining Telecom New Zealand as a senior analyst-programmer in 1992. David joined Cornerstone Software in 1993 and was appointed Director in 1998. He assumed his current position of Managing Director in 2004.
As a consultant and director of Cornerstone, David spearheaded projects for local and international clients from varied business sectors, including Account Managing the maintenance and 24-hour support of more than 30 essential applications for Telecom New Zealand.
David oversees a team of skilled and experienced programmers. He is responsible for systems analysis and project management; moving projects seamlessly through the initial stages of analysis to successful implementation and on-going support to the client. He is currently working on developing partnerships with organisations committed to building software for the local and global marketplace.
As a highly-skilled software architect, David ensures the company remains at the forefront of technological advances in the computing industry. More recently, he has introduced clients to emergent distributed computing technologies - Microsoft .NET and Java Web Applications.
David attended Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland and graduated as an Electronics Engineer in 1988. He gained the Postgraduate Diploma in Business from The University of Auckland Business School in 1998.
